Science and Technology in the Aging at Yonsei

Welcome Message from Eunhee Cho,
Director of the Mo-Im Kim Nursing Research Institute
at Yonsei University’s College of Nursing.

Preceding entrance into a super-aged society, our country is suffering from increased social burdens related to medical expenses and care for older adults. Such changes are leveraging the need for scientific developments in solving the complex, health-related issues of older adults.

Selected as a <2020 Ministry of Education Key Research Institute in Universities in the Fields of Science and Technology>, the Mo-Im Kim Nursing Research Institute intends to contribute to the realization of Healthy Aging Society, through the development of individualized, customized intervention and aging-friendly smart care technologies targeting dementia, depression, and frailty in older adults.

Composed of specialized teams dedicated to aging and health science research, our institute will overcome the limitations of individual studies and try our best to become world-class pioneers in promoting macro-level translational research and industrialization.
